Job Title: Part-Time Legal Account Manager

Job Responsibilities:
- Accounts Receivable:
- Prepare and manage client invoicing and billing correspondence monthly.
- Engage in collections activities, including calling or emailing clients to collect past due payments and arranging payment plans as needed.
- Respond to client inquiries via Slack, email, or phone regarding invoices, payments, and billing terms.
- Process credit card and check payments, recording them in Bill4Time, Revenue Report, and Collections Report.
- Prepare various monthly financial reports, including Revenue Report, LACBA Referral Revenue Report, Trust Account Report, Collections Report, P&L Report, and other requested reports.
- Draft Attorney-Client Fee Arbitration Petition Packages and Small Claims Petition Packages.
- Prepare and make bank deposits as necessary.

- Accounts Payable:
- Set up, process, and negotiate payments to vendors, maintaining vendor files and responding to inquiries.
- Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments, especially with software programs, and negotiate deals and discounts with subscription-based vendors.

- Payroll:
- Process employee payroll bi-monthly and independent contractor payroll monthly using Intuit/QuickBooks.
- Review and approve employee bonus reports and independent contractor monthly invoices.
- Administer payroll-related files and recordkeeping.

- Human Resources:
- Recruiting/Hiring/Onboarding:
- Use platforms like Indeed, LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and niche job boards to attract talent.
- Review resumes and conduct initial phone interviews to evaluate skills, experience, and cultural fit.
- Schedule and coordinate interviews, providing structured questions and evaluation criteria.
- Prepare competitive offers, including salary, benefits, and incentives, ensuring compliance with local labor laws.
- Provide onboarding materials and ensure completion of required documentation.
- Conduct follow-up meetings with new employees to ensure satisfaction and address feedback.
- Offboarding:
- Conduct exit interviews and prepare final employment details and documentation.
- Terminate benefits with vendors and provide COBRA or continuation options if applicable.

- Other Duties:
- Collaborate with the Managing Attorney and Operations Director to evaluate and recommend changes in policies, procedures, and software.
- Serve as a backup for the Executive Assistant as needed.

Education and Experience Information:
- Experience: 2–5 years in a law firm, with roles such as Accounting Assistant, Accounting Specialist, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bookkeeper, or a comparable position.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree.
- Location: Must have lived and worked in LA County.
- Communication: Must have articulate phone voice, correct spelling, grammar, and format. Spanish is optional.
- Character: Should be detail-oriented, diligent, able to accept criticism and direction well, think and act independently with minimal supervision, have exceptional problem-solving skills and work ethic, and maintain a professional appearance.
- Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, Slack, Dropbox, Bill4Time, QuickBooks, and computer/technical troubleshooting abilities.
- References: Must be trustworthy, dependable, and have a clear background report.

Salary Information:
- Job Type: Part-time, Contract, with potential to become full-time.
- Pay: – per hour.
- Expected Hours: 20-30 per week.
- Schedule: Flexible, choose your own hours.
- Work Location: Remote.
