Job Title: Legal Assistant

Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with case intake and manage property damage claims.
- Help clients in arranging rental vehicles and file DMV forms such as SR-1 and SR-19.
- Coordinate initial medical appointments for clients and maintain medical/billing records.
- Open and manage claims with Medi-Cal, Medicare, and other lien holders, and handle private health insurance claims with prompt follow-up.
- Request traffic collision reports from law enforcement agencies.
- Communicate with clients about appointments and relay information between clients and attorneys.
- Make and receive calls with insurance companies, medical offices, clients, and handle case/office-related communications.
- Support attorneys and staff in obtaining lien reductions and preparing case breakdowns.
- Assist in drafting and formatting letters, and provide support for personal injury and auto accident cases.
- Help prepare demand letters and file for settlement.

Education and Experience Information:
- At least 2 years of recent experience in personal injury law is required.
- Proficiency in PI Case Management software and Microsoft Office is necessary.
- Individuals who are tech-savvy and self-sufficient with a proven ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision are preferred.
- Strong communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail and organization, are essential.
- A proactive, “can-do” attitude and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment are important.
- Fluency in oral and written Spanish is considered a valuable plus.
