Job Title: Legal Secretary (Medical)
Job Responsibilities:
- Interact with clients to identify and/or verify their medical providers.
- Schedule medical appointments and surgeries as needed, and follow up with clients to ensure compliance with healthcare providers’ orders.
- Request and obtain medical bills and records from various medical providers and record retrieval companies efficiently.
- Review bills and records for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare medical summaries as needed.
- Request and confirm medical provider balances (paid vs. incurred) and health insurance liens.
- Draft correspondence and emails.
- Prepare and maintain electronic documents in the web-based case management system (Smart Advocate).
- Be proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Pro.
Education and Experience Information:
- Candidates should ideally have at least 3 years of experience as a secretary or clerk engaged in similar activities.
- Must be able to work independently, be a self-starter, and be detail-oriented.
- Candidates should have excellent organizational skills, a professional demeanor, and good client relations skills.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and be a team player.
- Should be a skilled multitasker, work well with others in the office, and have the ability to work accurately and calmly under pressure (deadlines).
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus, but not required.
Salary Information:
- Pay: $35, - $42, per year.
- The actual salary range may extend above or below the listed range, depending on the experience and capabilities of each applicant.

Additional Information:
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a lunch break from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm and breaks mid-morning and mid-afternoon.
- The position is not remote, but a private office with a view is provided.
