Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in a comprehensive orientation program with the entire Summer Associate Program leadership team, meeting colleagues and engaging in legal training sessions.
- Engage in real work experiences, drafting memos, agreements, and briefs that clients and judges will review.
- Attend client meetings, closings, court conferences, depositions, and trials, gaining exposure to the legal process.
- Handle a pro bono project, showcasing the firm's commitment to public service.
- Participate in legal skills workshops focusing on essential attorney skills, including contract drafting, negotiation, legal research memoranda, bluebooking, and marketing writing skills.
- Receive evaluations and feedback on assignments from assigning attorneys, with mid-summer and end-of-program evaluations that mirror the associate evaluation process.
- Engage in the Writing Advisor Program, receiving private feedback from an assigned writing advisor, typically a partner at the firm, who will evaluate your written work product and provide ongoing dialogue about your writing skills.
