Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst

Job Responsibilities:

- The Senior Financial Analyst is tasked with becoming a subject matter expert on the firm's budget tool, which is essential for providing financial insight. This involves maintaining the tool and ensuring its effective use in financial analysis and planning.
- A key responsibility is the review and analysis of financial statements and reports. The analyst must communicate budget variances to actual figures to key decision-makers within the law firm, facilitating informed decision-making.
- The role supports the financial planning process through the execution of monthly forecast processes, ensuring that financial projections are accurate and align with the firm's strategic goals.
- The analyst assists with month-end close procedures, which include making journal entries, reconciling accounts, and reviewing expense coding to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Providing support to the Corporate Controller and Director of Finance as needed is an integral responsibility. This includes participating in and completing research and ad hoc projects as required by the management team.

Education and Experience:

- A Bachelor’s degree (.) in Accounting or Finance is required for the position, ensuring that candidates have a foundational understanding of financial principles and practices.
- Candidates must have at least 3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, demonstrating their capability to perform in a professional financial setting.
- A CPA or similar accreditation is preferred, indicating advanced knowledge and expertise in accounting practices.
- Experience within the law or a similar service industry is preferred, as it provides context and understanding of the unique financial aspects of these sectors.
- Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning is considered a plus, suggesting familiarity with specific financial software that could enhance the candidate's effectiveness in the role.
