Job Responsibilities:
The Legal Project Manager role at the law firm involves working within the Legal Project Management (LPM) team, which is integral to the firm's growth strategy. The LPM team is embedded within priority client relationship teams and Global Business Units (GBUs). The responsibilities include:

- Working on client matters and deals, being a core part of the client team, and recording time against those matters.
- Tracking workstreams, collaborating with clients, monitoring resourcing, managing budgets, and integrating innovative solutions into large and complex projects.
- Bringing new ideas and expertise to an evolving role in the legal market.
- Establishing strong relationships with Practice Area Leaders, Practice Area Managers, Business Development, and other internal stakeholders to address their needs and demonstrate influencing skills to deliver business objectives.
- Collaborating with other Legal Project Manager colleagues globally and working closely with the broader business professional community, including Legal Technology Advisors, Resource Managers, and Transformation Specialists.

Key tasks include:
- Assisting with the preparation of project initiation documentation, such as scope, resourcing, and budget proposals, and tracking progress against those proposals.
- Dissecting problems and processes and applying logical and analytical approaches to solving them.
- Influencing individuals to change and adapt their ways of working.
- Explaining theoretical concepts to senior stakeholders, including clients, and amending delivery approach and style as needed.
- Managing effective planning over short, medium, and long term, executing against those plans, documenting minutes, actions, and tracking workstreams.
- Continually assessing and understanding issues, providing and implementing pragmatic solutions, and identifying risks while providing alternative solutions to mitigate them.
- Monitoring accruals and managing the project against agreed budgets, including scope change.
- Advising, recommending, and engaging with legal technology tools for efficient project management.
- Demonstrating advanced knowledge and skills of working with Best Delivery technology and defining requirements for technology setup.
- Delegating appropriate tasks to the Legal Project Analyst team.
- Taking regular feedback and direction from colleagues and adjusting plans accordingly.
- Delivering presentations, facilitating workshops, and being part of client pitch teams.
- Working directly with clients and representing the law firm, including working from client site locations independently.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for the Legal Project Manager position should have:

- A background in project management or legal operations, ideally gained within a professional services or complex matrix environment, or experience as a lawyer with matter management experience.
- A qualification or industry-recognized certification in project management is desirable but not essential, as the firm supports team members in obtaining these qualifications.
- Key skills include collaboration, influencing, and internal networking to make an impact within the firm.
