Job Title: Legal Assistant/Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare legal forms and documents, including declarations, responses, and other pleadings and applications.
- Assemble case materials by collecting, organizing, and summarizing information, documents, reports, and evidence.
- Assist with preparations for trial by organizing and e-filing trial briefs, exhibits, subpoenas, evidence, and motions.
- Manage and process e-filing, overnight and certified/priority mailouts, couriers, and deliveries.
- Calendar and docket deadlines and reminders.
- Manage and provide status updates of cases/job matters.
- Maintain and organize case files.
- Provide general administrative assistance to the immigration attorneys and law clerks, including filing, scanning, faxing, and saving/managing client documents.
- Ensure heavy communication with clients, courts, and attorneys, taking initiative to track and follow up as necessary.
- Translate various documents between Spanish and English.
Education and Experience Information:
- Fluency in Spanish is required, including reading, writing, and speaking.
- Prefer at least one year of recent support experience in a law office or professional service firm.
Skill Sets:
- Must be able to speak and write in Spanish.
- Must be careful, detail-oriented, punctual, responsible, and dependable.
- Able to operate and maintain office equipment on a regular basis, including fax, copier, scanner, and printer.
- Familiar with Apple/Mac.
- Resourceful in searching the internet and government sites.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Sharepoint, Teams), Adobe, and Dropbox.
- Familiarity with Clio and Cerenade is not required but helpful.
Salary Information:
- Job Type: Full-time
- Pay: From per hour
- Expected hours: 40 per week
- Benefits include health insurance.

- Base pay: The minimum and maximum salary is per hour, as provided by the employer.
