Title: Assistant District Attorney-Trials & Investigations Division
Job Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of multi-disciplinary felony matters while adhering to strict statutory deadlines.
- Present cases to the Grand Jury and prosecute felony trials in Superior Court, encompassing responsibilities such as discovery, certification of case readiness, witness preparation, motion practice, and all courtroom litigation.
- Conduct proactive investigations of pre-arrest criminal matters, along with post-arrest analysis, research, and review of charged cases.
- Draft a variety of applications for court authorization, including retrospective and prospective tracking orders, pen registers, and various search warrants for physical locations, electronic devices, and social media platforms.
- Collaborate and confer regularly with local, state, and federal law enforcement partners.
- Appear in Superior Court both in person and virtually to handle any and all court proceedings.
- Staff court calendars effectively.
- Participate in periodic on-call and after-hours duties.
- Exercise good judgment and maintain strong ethical standards.
Education and Experience Information
Candidates should have extensive experience in presenting a variety of cases to the Grand Jury and possess felony jury trial experience. Proactive investigative skills are essential, particularly experience in conducting investigations that implement electronic surveillance methods into diverse criminal activities. Additionally, candidates should have substantial writing experience, excellent presentation and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
Salary Information
The salary range for the position of Assistant District Attorney is $101, to $143,. For the role of Senior Assistant District Attorney, the salary range is $145, to $152,.
