Job Title:
Legal Assistant - Workers' Compensation

Job Responsibilities:
- Manage office correspondence and administrative tasks, including answering phone calls, communicating with opposing attorney offices, taking dictation, responding to emails, and reminding the team of upcoming deadlines.
- Undertake other duties as needed to ensure the law firm operates efficiently.
- Request medical records and prepare medical summaries.
- Prepare discovery requests and responses.
- Prepare standard motions and memorandum in support under attorney supervision.
- Calendar client medical appointments and schedule reminders.
- Maintain a medical mileage log for client reimbursements.
- Present monthly earnings reports (1020s) to clients and provide them to adjusters.
- Conduct court runs.

Education and Experience Information:
- Ability to comfortably use all Microsoft Office products.
- Must be able to type at least 50 words per minute (WPM).
- Applicants must have excellent communication skills and organizational skills.
- Must be able to prioritize tasks with demanding deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Information:
$40,000 - $45,000 yearly

Additional Information:
The position is not remote and requires working closely with attorney Kiana Mitchell in a fast-paced workers' comp practice. The legal assistant will be responsible for various tasks essential to the efficient operation of the law firm, particularly in handling workers' compensation cases. The role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines, and strong communication abilities.
