Job Title: Legal Assistant

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide in-office support to attorneys by establishing and organizing files, monitoring calendars, meeting deadlines, documenting actions, and inputting information into file databases and case management software.
- Manage the opening and closing of client files to ensure proper case management and efficient workflow.
- Maintain contact with individuals involved in cases and generate status reports as necessary to aid in case development.
- Support case preparation by organizing materials for team case review.
- Enter billable time entries and make travel arrangements for attorneys.
- Edit, format, print, and revise all letters, memos, reports, forms, labels, and other printed materials.
- Answer phone calls, take notes, messages, and redirect calls when appropriate.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities to stay current in the field.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in various situations and when interacting with different personalities.
- Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership of new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job tasks.
- Perform related or similar duties as required or assigned.

Education and Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in defense litigation.
- Experience supporting multiple attorneys in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with asbestos or toxic tort litigation is considered a plus.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court rules, and filing procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Salary Information:
