**Job Title**
Senior Associate Paralegal, Patent Litigation
**Job Responsibilities**
In the role of a Senior Associate Paralegal, Patent Litigation, you will undertake a variety of responsibilities aimed at supporting patent litigation processes within the company. These responsibilities include:
- Document Management and Organization: This involves maintaining case files and organizing document collections, as well as database coding related to case documents.
- Discovery Assistance: You will be involved in the discovery process, which includes interviewing witnesses and collecting both electronic and paper documents.
- Trial Preparation and Support: You will assist with trial preparation and provide support during trials. This includes managing cases as a member of the litigation team.
- Additional Duties: You may also be required to assist with other related duties in the Litigation and Patent departments as needed.
- Commuting and Travel: The candidate must be within a commutable distance to the Thousand Oaks office, with obligations to be on campus for certain projects and meetings. Additionally, willingness to travel for various projects is required.
**Education and Experience Information**
To qualify for this position, you must meet one of the following educational and experience criteria:
- A Master’s degree
- Or a Bachelor’s degree along with 2 years of paralegal experience
- Or an Associate’s degree with 6 years of paralegal experience
- Or a High school diploma / GED with 8 years of paralegal experience
Preferred qualifications include:
- An AA or BA and/or completion of an ABA-approved legal assistant/paralegal program.
- Experience in patent litigation.
- Proficiency with various litigation management software and adaptability to system updates.
- Experience in discovery processes (document collection, review, production) and some trial experience with complex US Litigation, including analyzing case documents.
- Complex litigation experience in a paralegal role, preferably at a mid to large size law firm.
**Salary Information**
The expected annual salary range for this position in the . (excluding Puerto Rico) is between $111, and $131,. Actual salary will vary based on several factors, including relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
