Trademark Paralegal
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare . Federal and state trademark prosecution and post-registration documents. This includes drafting trademark goods/services specifications and determining appropriate specimens under attorney supervision.
- Handle the TTAB (Trademark Trial and Appeal Board) process, including opposition and cancellation proceedings.
- Monitor and docket post-registration filings, renewals, and maintenance deadlines.
- Draft client and foreign associate correspondence, including status reports and preparation of deadline charts.
- Manage docketing of critical events using trademark docketing software.
- Generate and maintain docket reports to ensure timely filings and provide updates to attorneys.
- Serve as a liaison with foreign counsel worldwide.
Education and Experience Information
- Minimum 3 years of recent direct trademark prosecution experience in a law firm.
- Solid understanding of . trademark regulations and USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office) procedures.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and file accurate, compliant documents electronically.
- Strong writing, proofreading, and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage complex workloads independently.
- Professional, client-focused communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Flex-Trak docketing program is a plus but not a requirement.
Salary Information
- Salary ranges from $75, to $90, per year.
The position is full-time and indefinite in duration, with no required travel. Candidates should have a and 3-5 years of experience.
