Patent Litigation Paralegal The candidate will assist attorneys in all phases of the litigation process, primarily focused upon pre-litigation analysis of company products and company entity information (. registered agent, etc); filing the complaint and discovery. Will do federal E-filing in various courts including Districts, PTAB and Appeals courts. Prepare and file complaint and initial documents for filing with various courts. Implements and manages organizational systems to maintain case calendar, pleadings, correspondence and related case documents utilizing Firm software (including using Google Calendar, and Todoist task management system). Prepare and file routine motions, including motions for extension of time and requests to continue hearings. Assists with the preparation and filing of briefs, appeals and other legal documents: compiles appendices and exhibits, proofreads and cite checks for factual data, prepares table of authorities, files documents with court (hard copy and electronic). Offers suggestions to attorneys regarding most effective technologies to manage client matters. Applies knowledge of litigation process, legal procedures, terminology, and experience to efficiently complete tasks. Maintains solid working relationships with peers, support staff, attorneys, clients, etc. Various other office projects. College degree or equivalent experience required. 3+ years of experience as a paralegal working in litigation, ideally federal litigation.
