H2: About Project Kuiper and the Role
- Project Kuiper is an exciting initiative by Amazon to launch a constellation of low Earth orbit satellites for global broadband connectivity.
- As a Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for drafting and negotiating various contracts, including MSAs, work orders, and licensing agreements.
- This role also involves process improvement, compliance research, problem-solving, and managing special projects.
- You will work closely with our in-house legal team and collaborate with business teams such as marketing, engineering, and product management to design our end-to-end customer experience.
- Due to export control laws, candidates must be a . citizen, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee.
Responsibilities:
- Draft and negotiate a variety of contracts, including MSAs, work orders, licensing agreements, and marketing, sponsorship, and promotion agreements.
- Assist with process improvement, special projects, and compliance research.
- Interact with clients and outside counsel, coordinate legal research projects, and perform trainings.
- Help draft and implement policies and manage discrete projects.
- Work with cross-functional teams and effectively communicate and collaborate.
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks of varying complexity.
- Demonstrate judgment in ambiguous situations and solve problems that affect people within the group or other related groups.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in contracts management, paralegal, or other legal roles.
- Project management experience preferred.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Curious, adaptable, enthusiastic, and enjoys working hard in a team-oriented environment.
- Legal department or law firm experience is a plus.
