Job Title: Paralegal/Legal Assistant
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide executive administrative support to attorneys.
- Communicate with clients or other lawyers' offices through email, phone, or in-person meetings.
- File guardianship case documents via the Florida e-portal.
- Email and make copies of legal documents as needed.
- Maintain calendars, schedule appointments, and complete documents.
- Manage, organize, and collate legal documents.
- Assist in project management by tracking deadlines and coordinating tasks among team members.
- Review legal documents for accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct thorough research on legal cases, statutes, and regulations as needed.
- Proofread documents to ensure clarity, grammar, and formatting are correct.
Education and Experience Information:
- Proven experience as a Paralegal/Legal Assistant or in a similar role within a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Proficiency in Microsoft programs, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong clerical skills with proficiency in document review and management.
- Excellent research skills with the ability to analyze complex information.
- Exceptional proofreading abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Guardianship experience.
Salary Information:
- Salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $42,000 to $65,000 annually.
- Pay rate of - per hour.
- Expected hours: per week.
