Data Analytics Paralegal The candidate will obtain, clean and compile data sets from clients; run data analytics, manipulate data and create pivot charts and graphs, perform exposure analyses for exposure analyses, affirmative action plans and other litigation. Knowledge and use of SQL and SQL Server. Identify and recommend new technologies for analysis and presentation. Participate in client and witness interviews, investigations, fact analysis. Participate in formulation of discovery plan with attorneys. Provide information relating to the processes used in developing valuation and other analyses. Coordinate/run background searches, public records research, arbitrator searches and bio summaries. Coordinate with outside vendors and agencies such as data analytics vendors, court reporters, law clerks, etc. Cite and fact checking, including pulling cases and documentation, shepardizing, and citation verification. eDiscovery: Participate in formulation of discovery plans with attorneys and liaise with eDiscovery team on database development and implementation; assist and collaborate with eDiscovery staff with coordination of ESI deliverables from clients and vendors; participate/manage electronic document reviews (on and off-site); run document searches; manage tags and folders, and assist with document production and tracking; redact and sanitize documents, track client custodial data from collection through presentation of evidence. Collaborate with an provide backup support for other staff in analytics roles. As one member of a cross-departmental big data analysis team, help to develop applicable standards and documentation, and identify skills needed for big data analysis team improvement. Provide data analytics support including but not limited to cleaning and compiling data; running data analytics, manipulating data and creating pivot charts and graphs, performing valuation services and exposure analysis. Research governing rules and procedures for attorney review. Draft, authorizations and release of records, requests for medical records, subpoenas, subpoenas, public records requests, privilege document logs, production logs, appendices/indices, witness files, deposition and hearing abstracts. Knowledge of filing/e-filing procedures and coordinate with the Docketing Department regarding same. Annually log at least 1500 billable hours. Excellent organization skills required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Bachelor's degree preferred. An ABA-approved paralegal certificate also preferred. 5 years law firm experience required; 3-5 years experience in eDiscovery required; experience in Class Action and PAGA matters required. Advanced Excel skills required including big data management, dashboards, pivot tables, charts, etc required. Advanced PowerBI and Power Query required. Knowledge of one or more scripting language especially in support of data analytics and/or statistical software applications (. R, Stata, etc.) required.
