- This position is located in Spencer, West Virginia and is open until filled.
- The Circuit Judge Law Clerk will work under the direct supervision of Judge Anita Harold Ashley in the Fifth Judicial Circuit, Roane County.
- The annual salary for non-members of the West Virginia State Bar is $58,696, plus benefits. For members of the West Virginia State Bar, the annual salary is $67,900, plus benefits.
- The successful candidate must possess excellent legal research and writing skills, as well as the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.

- All circuit judge law clerks must be current members or become members of the West Virginia State Bar and/or sit for the Uniform Bar Examination (UBE).
- Duties and responsibilities may include performing legal research, preparing confidential legal memoranda, attending court hearings, drafting orders and opinions, and advising and assisting the judge with legal issues.
- The successful candidate must pass a criminal background check.
