Information Governance - Electronic Communications Coordinator
Job Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with various departments to execute policies and processes to securely, efficiently, and effectively manage electronic collections external to the law firm’s document management system.
- Use data management tools to facilitate the creation, tracking, use, and ultimate disposition of electronic collections held external to the law firm’s document management system.
- Coordinate with relevant personnel to ensure the correct identification, indexing, and locating of electronic collections of both structured and unstructured data.
- Coordinate with the Information Governance Retention & Disposition team to accurately manage information within electronic repositories across various applications and storage environments.
- Provide recommendations to legal case teams for the appropriate storage and management of electronic data.
- Perform database audits and close-out reviews to ensure information is managed according to the law firm’s processes.
- Assist with information clean-up projects.
- Undertake special projects and additional duties as assigned and directed by management.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s Degree is required.
- Experience working in a professional environment, preferably in a technical role.
- Experience providing exemplary customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Law firm experience is preferred but not required.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Significant understanding of database tables and structure.
- Advanced knowledge of Smartsheet and Microsoft Teams.
- Sequel/SQL knowledge is preferred.
- Ability to access, input, analyze, and retrieve information from various computer systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- Ability to support multiple priorities simultaneously, accurately, and professionally.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a dispersed team.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and report successes and challenges.

- Law firm experience is preferred.
- The position requires a high level of mental effort while tracking information, communicating effectively with information custodians, and successfully guiding appropriate electronic information management.
- Regular attendance is essential.
