Job Title: IT Intern

Job Responsibilities:
- Systems Implementation: The intern will actively participate in the setup and management of Cheqroom, a new asset management software. This includes implementing the software, tagging assets, ensuring optimal utilization, and creating user guides.
- IT Asset Audit: The intern will assist the IT manager in conducting a comprehensive inventory assessment. This involves tracking missing or outdated equipment and improving accountability for IT assets.
- Network & Security Support: The intern will review the Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) setup, troubleshoot blocking issues, and research security best practices to ensure robust network security.
- Helpdesk Assistance: The intern will provide first-level IT support, document common issues, and assist in troubleshooting.
- Technology Planning & Systems Health Check: The intern will aid the IT manager in long-term IT strategy development, policy documentation, and infrastructure assessment to enhance systems health and efficiency.

Education and Experience Information:
- Basic knowledge of IT systems, hardware, and software troubleshooting is required.
- Familiarity with networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP, as well as security best practices, is essential.
- Strong communication skills are necessary for documenting issues and assisting users.
