This position is available in multiple offices, including Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, and Washington . Our Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation practice area is highly regarded by Chambers and has a diverse client base, including publicly traded corporations, privately owned companies, financial institutions, and tax-exempt organizations. As an associate in this group, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of complex employee benefits and executive compensation issues, including tax qualified retirement plans, health and welfare benefit programs, non-qualified deferred compensation plans, incentive plans, and severance pay plans. Job Title: Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Associate
Experience: 3-6 years
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and counsel to clients on various employee benefits and executive compensation matters.
- Assist with the design, implementation, and maintenance of tax qualified retirement plans, health and welfare benefit programs, non-qualified deferred compensation plans, incentive plans, and severance pay plans.
- Analyze and draft documents related to health and welfare and qualified plan issues.
- Handle ERISA fiduciary matters and benefits aspects of M&A transactions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Qualifications:
- 3-6 years of experience in employee benefits, with a focus on health and welfare and qualified plan issues and drafting.
- Strong work ethic and ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the bar in the state where the position is located.
