Job Title: Paralegal Assistant
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist lawyers in preparing and drafting various legal documents, including transactional agreements, corporate organizational documents, ancillary agreements, and specialty license applications.
- Organize and maintain legal documents in both paper and electronic filing systems to ensure efficient access and retrieval.
- Assist lawyers during meetings with clients, attorneys, and other professionals to facilitate communication and the exchange of information.
- Conduct research on statutes, legal decisions, and municipal ordinances to support case preparation and legal proceedings.
Education and Experience Information:
- Preferred candidate will hold a degree in Paralegal Studies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Adobe/Acrobat, Word, and Excel is required.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a related role is necessary.
- Candidates must possess strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively multi-task and manage time-sensitive documents in a fast-paced environment is essential.
- Must be able to work both collaboratively and independently, demonstrating excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, follow through, and meet deadlines is required.
- Candidates should have a sense of urgency and a results-focused approach to ensure timely and appropriate responses to issues.
- Strong analytical and computer skills are essential for success in this role.
