Job Title: Bilingual (English/Spanish) Legal Assistant

Job Responsibilities:
The Bilingual Legal Assistant acts as a crucial liaison between the law firm and other attorneys or insurance companies. The role involves direct collaboration with attorneys to assist with ongoing cases and trial preparations. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing secretarial, clerical, and data entry tasks.
- Managing documents using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe.
- E-filing legal documents through Illinois’ E-Portal System.
- Maintaining the attorney’s calendar.
- Scheduling depositions, pre-depositions, meetings, mediations, and hearings.
- Assisting attorneys in preparation for depositions, hearings, trials, and conferences.
- Drafting legal court documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, and subpoenas.
- Sending correspondence to parties/non-parties via email, regular mail, or certified mail.
- Communicating with clients.
- Setting up Court calls or Zoom for hearings.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Information:
- The position requires at least 2 years of experience as a legal assistant.
- Experience in first-party property or general litigation is preferred.
- Proficiency with case management software and e-filing in both state and federal courts is necessary.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is essential.
- The candidate must be able to manage a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with clients and co-workers are required.
- Excellent organizational skills, multitasking abilities, and workload prioritization are necessary.

Salary Information:
