Job Title: Business Development Coordinator

Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the law firm’s day-to-day marketing, client development, and client relationship efforts across five offices in Texas.
- Collaborate closely with the Chief Operating Officer and the law firm’s Marketing Committee to develop and implement strategic marketing plans in conjunction with the firm’s outside marketing agency.
- Plan, support, and implement a variety of marketing, business development, and recruiting initiatives to expand the law firm’s business and marketplace presence.
- Meet regularly with the Marketing Committee to discuss recent marketing efforts and long-term strategies.
- Serve as a key liaison with the firm’s outside marketing agency to ensure alignment of internal initiatives and external strategies, communicate goals, priorities, and updates, and monitor timelines and performance metrics.
- Work closely with the HR department to develop recruiting and retention strategies through creative job advertising, top workplace submissions, online reviews, and other methods to attract and retain professional talent.
- Participate in attorney onboarding to help attorneys navigate the firm’s marketing tools, processes, and external agency capabilities.
- Visit attorneys across all offices regularly to address individual needs and identify patterns, shared challenges, and recurring requests for broader firmwide marketing strategies.
- Coordinate the management of the firm’s website, social media platforms, digital and print brochures, business cards, and other marketing and client development materials.
- Assist in the drafting and distribution of both internal and external newsletters.
- Coordinate the drafting of press releases and work with attorneys on content creation for the firm’s website and other publications.
- Assist in the development and drafting of relevant award submissions, such as Chambers USA, Best Lawyers, and Super Lawyers.
- Coordinate the creation of promotional marketing materials and order company swag, maintaining inventory to anticipate general needs.
- Incorporate a return on investment (ROI) mentality in all business development activities and ensure that the firm is closely tracking designated metrics.
- Manage the firm’s marketing budget and make recommendations on efficiencies and spending trends.
- Develop and foster relationships with external contacts, including clients, industry peers, and organizations like the Legal Marketing Association (LMA).
- Provide general support to the firm’s administrative team, including HR, IT, Facilities, and General Operations as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Travel to the firm’s other offices on a limited basis.
- Be flexible and willing to accept other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Information:
- Three or more years of business development and marketing experience, preferably in a law firm or other professional services environment.
- Self-starter able to identify and craft marketing strategies and robust plans of action.
- Flexible, forward-thinking, proactive, and detail-oriented team player.
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Excellent writing, proofreading, and grammar skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field preferred.
