Job Title: Legal, Asset Management Attorney – Registered Funds (ETF), Vice President

Job Responsibilities:
The position of Asset Management Attorney at the Vice President level involves a multifaceted role within the legal department at the company. The attorney will be responsible for providing legal counsel and advice that supports the firm's activities, particularly focusing on asset management. Key responsibilities include:

- Providing legal expertise related to the regulation, establishment, management, governance, distribution, and marketing of registered funds, including mutual funds, ETFs, interval funds, and business development companies.
- Supporting various portfolio management teams in executing transactions for investment funds and related accounts.
- Assisting with strategic initiatives related to the public investing business of the company.
- Identifying legal and reputational risks and managing external counsel.
- Involvement with investment and related committees.
- Analyzing and formulating strategic responses to shifting legal and regulatory frameworks globally applicable to the firm's businesses and markets.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for this position should possess the following qualifications and experience:

- A minimum of 4 years of related legal experience in a well-regarded law firm or an in-house role.
- Expertise in the Investment Company Act is required.
- Working knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act is useful.
- Outstanding law firm and law school credentials are preferred.
- Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and be thought leaders in their field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Motivation to expand skill set and excel in a challenging business environment.
- Ability to work effectively as a team player and develop interpersonal relationships.

Salary Information:
The expected base salary for this position, based in New York, New York, United States, ranges from $170,000 to $270,000. In addition to the base salary, candidates may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if they are active employees as of fiscal year-end.
