JOB TITLE: Real Estate Paralegal Specialist or Senior Paralegal Specialist
DEPARTMENT: Paralegal
REPORTS TO: Paralegal Manager
FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt



RESPONSIBILITIES:

Draft and analyze legal documents under the supervision of a lawyer.
Coordinate legal projects and communicate legal information.
Prepare draft communications and collect, evaluate, and summarize relevant facts and legal concepts.
Attend client meetings, coordination meetings, and legal proceedings.
Provide legal project management for a legal matter.
Supervise other paralegals on assigned tasks.
Maintain notary license in local jurisdiction.
Follow all supervising lawyer or supervising paralegal instructions.

REAL ESTATE:
Provide paralegal support to lawyers on real estate transactions and complex corporate matters.
Prepare and revise Real Estate closing documents and exhibits.
Review due diligence documentation.
Prepare title and survey comments and coordinate with title company and surveyor.
Order and review searches (pending suits, judgments, tax liens and UCCs).
Prepare Closing Instruction Letters.
Attend and coordinate document signing at Closing.
Research and prepare documents required for the formation, management, maintenance and dissolution of Corporations, LLCs and LPs and filing of such documentation, as required with various Departments of State.
Obtain good standings from foreign countries for qualification with US states.
Provide transactional support including initial draft documents, resolutions, checklists, research, proofing, editing, and document organization.



QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approved program.
13+ years of relevant experience for Paralegal Specialist.
18+ years of relevant experience for Senior Paralegal Specialist.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Understanding of legal processes and practice-group specific procedures.
Excellent interpersonal, team, and customer service skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to function well in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and practice-group specific software.



COMPENSATION:

The annualized good faith base salary ranges for the following positions in the Los Angeles location:

Paralegal Specialist is a minimum of $92,000 to a maximum of $138,000 per year.
Senior Paralegal Specialist is a minimum of $105,800 to a maximum of $158,700 per year.

The actual salary rate offered to candidates within that range will depend on a variety of factors, including years of relevant experience, education, certifications, and overall qualifications for the position.
