The Family Law Paralegal position at Law Firm in San Francisco, CA is a full-time role with a salary range of - per hour. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Family Law Paralegal and a strong knowledge of California Rules of Court and local rules. The ideal candidate will have experience with Family law practice areas including dissolutions, relationship, agreements, custody/visitation issues, support disputes, and property division.
The Family Law Paralegal will be responsible for managing the discovery process, preparing cases for depositions, mediations, and trials. They will also be responsible for drafting legal documents and correspondence, as well as maintaining accurate client files and databases. This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who can work in a fast-paced environment and manage a large caseload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform legal research and draft documents related to Family law cases
- Manage and organize client files and keep databases and document management systems up to date
- Prepare cases for depositions, mediations, and trials
- Draft legal documents and correspondence with accuracy and in adherence to formatting guidelines
- Maintain billable hour requirement and track time spent on cases
- Communicate with clients, attorneys, and other professionals involved in cases
- Calendar appointments and deadlines to ensure timely completion of tasks
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Family Law Paralegal
- Strong knowledge of California Rules of Court and local rules
- Experience with Family law practice areas including dissolutions, relationship, agreements, custody/visitation issues, support disputes, and property division
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Excellent command of English, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and style
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
- Positive attitude, intellectually curious, dependable, and motivated
