Job Title: Investment Funds, Registered Funds/BDC Associate

Job Responsibilities:
The Investment Funds, Registered Funds/BDC Associate will be responsible for working within the Registered Funds practice of the Investment Funds Group at the law firm. The primary duties include:
- Forming, structuring, and advising on a variety of retail fund products.
- Handling traditional funds such as mutual funds, ETFs, and listed closed-end funds.
- Managing “alternative” funds, including interval/tender offer funds, business development companies (BDCs), real estate investment trusts (REITs), and “holding company” structures.
- Assisting with regulatory, compliance, and distribution matters both in the . and globally.
- Engaging in public company reporting, including capital markets activities.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates should have three to five years of experience working in a recognized investment funds practice. Significant experience with forming, structuring, and advising on various fund products is essential. The ideal candidate will also have:
- Experience with regulatory, compliance, and distribution matters.
- Public company reporting and capital markets experience.
- Outstanding analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong academic credentials.
- A Juris Doctor degree.
- Admission to the relevant state/District of Columbia bar (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly).

Salary Information:
The law firm offers a competitive salary structure and a robust benefits package for all employees and attorneys. Compensation is aligned with the roles and responsibilities of the position, the experience and education of the applicant, and internal pay equity within the law firm. The hiring salary range for this position is between $260,000 and $365,000. These figures do not represent the full compensation range for the position.
