Job Responsibilities
The asbestos associate attorney will join the law firm's Toxic Tort & Environmental Practice. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing all phases of asbestos litigation, which involves a comprehensive understanding and handling of case management, motion practice, and discovery.
- Conducting and managing hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials related to asbestos litigation cases.
- Representing a diverse clientele, including manufacturers, suppliers, contractors, and property owners, in asbestos exposure cases.
- Working collaboratively with a team of attorneys to represent clients as National Counsel in asbestos litigation, addressing thousands of cases across the country.
Education and Experience Information
- The candidate must be admitted to the Illinois Bar, with consideration given to those willing to become admitted.
- Admission to the Missouri Bar is considered an advantage.
- The ideal candidate will have two (2) to seven (7) years of experience specifically in asbestos litigation.
- Experience should encompass all aspects of litigation, including but not limited to, case management, motion practice, discovery, and conducting hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
Salary Information
- The position offers a competitive salary range from USD $110, to USD $170, per year.
- Additional benefits include medical, dental, and life insurance, a 401(k) plan with employer contribution, and bonus opportunities for those exceeding minimum hourly requirements.
