Job Title: Attorney Recruiting Onboarding Coordinator
Job Responsibilities:
- Organize all pre-arrival logistics for lateral attorneys, ensuring a seamless onboarding process from start to finish, which includes welcoming new attorneys and providing a smooth start at the law firm.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for newly hired attorneys, facilitating their integration into the firm.
- Coordinate introductions and arrival information to relevant office administrators and teams, collaborating with administrative departments to integrate new hires, including coordinating new associate integration activities.
- Handle conflicts and background checks, onboarding paperwork, and the Workday process to ensure compliance and a high level of confidentiality.
- Develop and communicate information to new hires about the firm, including onboarding timelines, IT equipment, benefits, and more.
- Coordinate Lateral Link assignments and programs, and organize check-ins for new hires to ensure their successful integration.
- Manage payment of placement fees, stipends, and bonuses, and track offer/hire information, monitor progress, report results, and document lessons learned from each successive integration.
- Meet deadlines and make process efficiency recommendations as the subject matter expert, identifying process improvements and challenging the status quo to enhance integration and retention.
- Mentor junior team members and provide training, maintaining records in viRecruit and Workday, and updating as needed.
Education and Experience Information:
- A bachelor’s degree is required for this position.
- At least two years of professional recruiting experience in a law firm or professional services is strongly preferred.
- Candidates should possess outstanding organizational, communication (both written and verbal), and critical thinking skills.
- Knowledge of the attorney recruiting process and legal employment issues is essential.
- The ability to set priorities, work independently, and handle a variety of duties effectively under time constraints is required.
- An understanding of unconscious bias and its effect on recruiting and hiring is important.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with different levels of firm personnel and external clients are necessary.
- Superior analytical, attention to detail, planning, and organizational skills are required.
- Candidates should be highly motivated and creative, with the ability to make sound business decisions.
- The ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion is crucial.
- Proficiency with MS Office and applicant tracking systems, preferably Workday and LawCruit/viRecruit, is expected.
Salary Information:
The primary location for this job posting is in Palo Alto, but other locations may be listed. The actual base pay offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, level of education, professional certifications and licenses, and work location. The anticipated pay range for this position is as follows:
- San Francisco and Silicon Valley: - per hour
- Austin, Boston, Boulder, District of Columbia, Los Angeles, New York, San Diego, Seattle, and Wilmington: - per hour
- Salt Lake City and all other locations: - per hour
