Paralegal The candidate will draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, notices, and subpoenas. Prepare witness and matter materials for attorney review. Conduct various document searches and factual research using Westlaw. Assist with preparations for hearings, mediations, and trials. Index and maintain files that are organized chronologically, numerically, and/or by subject matter. Collect, organize, analyze and summarize medical records. Organize and prepare exhibits, files, and all other supporting documents for trial. Work in relativity, concordance, or other databases. Summarize depositions and discovery responses. Perform basic jury research. Schedule and prepare for depositions as needed.
The candidate should have a two or four-year degree and/or paralegal certificate from an accredited paralegal program with 3-5 years of experience. Should have Strong verbal and written communication skills. Superior technology skills must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products. Experience reviewing and summarizing medical records. Ability to prioritize, organize and manage workload. Takes the initiative in handling projects and anticipating what needs to be done. Works collaboratively and cooperatively with others. Requires a high degree of professionalism and the ability to exercise good judgment. Should demonstrate teamwork. Should be detail-oriented.
