Job Title: Paralegal

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide critical support to attorneys in the law office.
- Answer telephones and assist legal assistants and receptionists.
- Welcome clients by greeting them, either in person or over the phone, and addressing inquiries.
- Organize cases by establishing and managing files, monitoring calendars, meeting deadlines, documenting actions, inputting information into file databases and case management software, and confirming case status with attorneys.
- Assist in case development by maintaining contact with people involved in cases, scheduling depositions, preparing and forwarding summonses and subpoenas, drafting complaints, preparing and filing discovery requests, preparing responses to opposing counsel, and generating status reports.
- Keep clients informed by maintaining contact and communicating case progress.
- Support case preparation by preparing case summaries and materials for mediation conferences, preparing pleadings, monitoring and obtaining discovery responses, and organizing materials for team case review.
- Maintain attorneys’ appointment schedules by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences, travel, and court appearances.
- Protect client confidentiality and operations by keeping information confidential.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
- Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time.

Education and Experience Information:
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred, with competitive academic standing. Additional requirements may apply.
- Spanish language skills are a plus, but not required.
- 3 to 5 years of experience working in a law firm is required.

Salary Information:
- Full-time position with salary based on qualifications.
- This is an on-site position, not remote.
