A law firm is seeking a Junior-Mid Level Benefits Associate Attorney for their Washington, DC office.

Job Overview:

The Junior-Mid Level Benefits Associate Attorney will provide legal support in various benefits and compensation matters, including but not limited to qualified retirement plans, health & welfare plans, and executive & deferred compensation arrangements. The ideal candidate will possess excellent writing, oral advocacy, communication, legal analysis skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Duties:

  • Provide legal support in benefits and compensation matters, including qualified retirement plans, health & welfare plans, and executive & deferred compensation arrangements.
  • Support benefits and compensation aspects of mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
  • Handle ERISA litigation and withdrawal liability matters (experience in these areas is a plus).
  • Conduct legal research, analysis, and drafting of legal documents.
  • Assist in advising clients on benefits-related issues.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of benefits experience in private practice.
  • . from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage confidential information.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
