Job Description Summary:
We are looking for a Litigation Docketing Specialist to work with our Technology, Information Security & Information Governance team in our Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Washington ., Chicago, Denver, San Francisco, Los Angeles or downtown Indianapolis offices. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of docket department duties and utilizing our computerized docket system. You will work alongside other talented individuals who are dedicated to providing the best service to our clients.

Job Description:

What you would do:

- Review, analyze, and process incoming notifications from courts, administrative agencies, clients and counsel
- Review docketing information in CourtAlert software, including analysis of updated docket records, to ensure correct assessment of deadlines and accuracy of database
- Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly docket reports
- Respond to department emails and phone inquiries from attorneys, paralegals and legal assistants regarding matter calendars and court procedures
- Conduct docket orientation and training of new staff
- Other duties and projects as assigned

Salary Information:
The anticipated initial hourly rate for someone who is hired into this position is – annually based on a hour a week schedule. This is a non-exempt role paid on an hourly basis with a schedule work week. The initial hourly rate listed above is just one component of Faegre Drinker's total compensation and benefits package for professional staff, which includes, but is not limited to, a discretionary bonus; life, health, accident, and disability insurance; and a 401(k) plan.

What is required:

- Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate or at least 4 years of law firm docketing experience in lieu of a degree.
- Extensive knowledge of and experience working within an industry standard docketing software
- Minimum of two years of docket experience at a law firm
- Knowledge of Federal and State and Local rules
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Knowledge of California State and Local rules
