This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced legal professional to oversee our paraprofessional program and drive strategic direction and management. The Director will work with all three of our law departments - Business Law, Intellectual Property, and Litigation - to ensure superior support for both internal and external clients. This is a full-time exempt position with a hybrid workplace schedule, offering 40+ hours per week. Responsibilities - Develop and maintain a firmwide paraprofessional program, focusing on superior client support. - Analyze and improve existing paraprofessional programs and staffing structures. - Implement innovative approaches to improve processes and operations. - Establish hiring criteria and development frameworks. - Support professional development through onboarding, training, and knowledge management resources. - Proactively address attorney and client support needs and create workflow coverage plans. - Collaborate with legal departments and accounting & finance on billing rates. - Prepare and monitor budget for paraprofessional program. - Build relationships with paraprofessional team, firm leaders, and other stakeholders to achieve goals. Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree required. - Minimum of 10 years of legal and/or paraprofessional experience, including 5 years of managerial experience. - Experience in multiple practice areas (corporate, litigation, and/or IP) preferred. The actual salary offered will be based on factors such as education, experience, geographic market, and internal pay equity at Foley.
