# Patent Agent (Biological Sciences)

Law Firm is seeking a Patent Agent (Biological Sciences) to join our dynamic team. This position is located in one of our offices in Atlanta, Boston, or Pittsburgh.

## Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Patent Agent (Biological Sciences) is responsible for drafting and prosecuting patent applications and conducting patent validity, non-infringement, and freedom-to-operate analyses. Additionally, this role will be involved in IP due diligences, patent litigations, post-grant proceedings (IPR, PGR, interferences) and other IP matters in the life sciences related to cutting-edge technologies, such as gene editing, cellular therapies, antibody-based therapeutics, and molecular diagnostics.

## Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following qualifications:

* Minimum two (2) years of substantive patent experience; three-five years of experience preferred.
* Advanced degree (. preferred, or . with several years industry experience) in the biological sciences (., Biology, Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Immunology, Virology).
* Registered to practice before the . Patent and Trademark Office.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills, superior academic background and a desire for teamwork, significant responsibility, and client interaction.
