Responsibilities: - Coordinating with attorneys to prepare, file, and monitor various immigration and nationality law matters - Communicating with clients via email and phone under the direction of a Senior Paralegal or Attorney - Providing guidance to assignees on proprietary systems and case processing - Managing status of all filed applications and petitions and finalizing documents after attorney review - Utilizing document and data management systems to prepare, monitor, and record all aspects of client casework - Conducting research to obtain information for cases - Initiating contact with government agencies to obtain necessary information - Sharing process flow with assignees and identifying and discussing problematic cases with attorneys - Performing general office administrative activities, such as copying and filing Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree, 1 year of law-related experience under a licensed attorney, or a PL certificate from an ABA approved program - At least 1 year of . corporate immigration experience - Comfortable and able to thrive in a high-volume environment - Strong attention to detail and ability to catch errors - Superior client service skills - Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines - Proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn and navigate propriety software Working Conditions: - Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time - Able to perform general office administrative activities - Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally - Regular and on-time attendance - Must be able to prioritize and complete testing required for multiple applications with overlapping schedules - A certain degree of creativity and flexibility is required - Hours may exceed 40 hours per week - Occasional travel by conventional means within the region and to other locations as required Equal Opportunity Employer: Our law firm is committed to providing equal employment opportunities without discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, age, disability, alienage or citizenship status, marital status, creed, genetic predisposition or carrier status, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected by law.
