This full-time position offers a highly collaborative and rewarding work environment where individual contributions are recognized and valued. As a paralegal in the Torts and Insurance Practice Group, you will play a key role in various complex legal matters, from case management to trial preparation. Key Responsibilities: - Perform paralegal duties, including case management and document preparation, from inception through discovery and verdict. - Draft legal documents, correspondence, and reports. - File subpoenas, briefs, and pleadings in state and federal courts. - Schedule conferences, depositions, and meetings. - Maintain calendars and deadlines. - Conduct legal searches through various databases. - Create complex databases for document management. - Prepare PowerPoint presentations. - Summarize and analyze research and reports. - Review documents for privileged material. - Assist with discovery and handle document productions. - Attend mediations, depositions, hearings, and trials. - Proofread documents. - Work independently and with a team. - Respond to inquiries for information. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree, paralegal certification/degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Strong knowledge of State and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. - Excellent organizational and communication skills. - Proficient in drafting and electronic filing of legal documents. - Experience with deposition scheduling and summarization, trial preparation, and legal research. - Familiarity with document management software, such as PACER, Word, Excel, and Outlook. - Knowledge of e-discovery, Trial Director, and Relativity preferred.
