H2: Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Prepare all Probate Court filings, including estate administration, trust matters, and guardianship/conservatorship cases
- Assist with preparation of motions, affidavits, and other written pleadings
- Coordinate with courts for e-filing, mail filing, and hand-filing
- Process required notices and coordinate service on interested parties
- Follow-up with courts and use of Virtual Registries
- Contact financial institutions for financial information and documentation
- Obtain miscellaneous real estate and tax documents
- Monitor and maintain discovery trackers
- Create and maintain pleadings indexes
- Organize and handle legal documents in a timely manner
- Record billable time daily
- Attend meetings with Paralegals and Staff
- Handle special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned by attorneys

H2: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Minimum 1 year of experience with probate process
- Litigation experience preferred
- Minimum 3 years of related work experience
- Impeccable integrity in personal and fiduciary matters
- Strong interpersonal skills for communicating with attorneys, staff, and clients
- Working knowledge of Excel

Join the team at Rubin and Rudman LLP as a Probate Litigation Paralegal. This self-motivated individual will assist the attorneys in the Trusts and Estates Department with various tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of the department. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience with all aspects of the probate process and a minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible related work experience.

As a Probate Litigation Paralegal, you will be responsible for preparing court filings, interacting with various courts, and drafting motions. You will also assist attorneys in all aspects of litigation and ensure they are prepared for court appearances. This role requires strong interpersonal skills to maintain positive contact with attorneys and staff, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality of client and firm matters.

In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities, the Probate Litigation Paralegal will also handle special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned by the attorneys in the department. This position is a non-exempt role and may occasionally require more than 35 hours per week to perform the essential duties.

The ideal candidate will also possess impeccable integrity in personal and fiduciary matters and have a working knowledge of Excel. Previous litigation experience is a plus, but not necessary.
