(HG) is seeking experienced Patent Agents to join our fast-growing, full-service IP law firm in New York City. As a Patent Agent at HG, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients in the engineering and life sciences sectors, building patent portfolios that drive their success. Responsibilities:

- Counsel clients on strategies for protecting their inventions
- Prepare and prosecute patent applications
- Defend client patents against third party challenges
- Assist clients in cases of intellectual property misappropriation
- Collaborate with inventors to understand their inventions

Qualifications:

- PhD in Chemistry, preferably in Organic Chemistry
- 3-5 years of experience in patent drafting and prosecution
- Admitted to practice before the USPTO
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills in English
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving mindset
- Curiosity and interest in developing a career in intellectual property
- Ability to own projects and see them through completion
- Broad interest in and ability to quickly learn new technologies
- Excellent academic record and practical research experience

HG offers a competitive salary range of $130K-$150K, based on experience. For eligible Patent Agents, we also provide funding for an approved, part-time evening law school program.
