Summary:

We are seeking a Legal Assistant with at least 4-6 years of experience to join our Finance & Restructuring group in our Dallas office. As a valued team member, you will provide legal administrative support to attorneys and paralegals, with a focus on billing and collections. This is a full-time, on-site position in our Dallas office.

Responsibilities:

- Provide day-to-day administrative legal support to attorneys.
- Assist with billing process for assigned clients and attorneys.
- Communicate with clients, service providers, and employees within the firm.
- Send billing invoices and related correspondence to clients.
- Work with collections department, attorneys, and legal assistants on accounts receivable.
- File paper and electronic documents accurately and promptly.
- Coordinate with other departments and offices on assignments and projects.
- Research and respond to billing inquiries.
- Communicate directly with clients to assist with questions and maximize billing efficiency.
- Communicate with attorneys and billing department on monthly billing status.
- Create and revise client documents, spreadsheets, and forms.
- Organize and coordinate meetings, conferences, and travel arrangements.
- Provide support and assist other legal assistants as needed.
- Proactively solve problems and provide excellent customer service to attorneys and clients.
- Assist with overflow tasks such as time entry, opening new matters, and maintaining calendars.
- May be requested to perform other duties not mentioned above.

Qualifications:

- 4-6 years of legal assistant experience, preferably with billing experience.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience with editing, formatting, and comparing legal documents.
- Strong client service and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Attention to detail and proofreading skills.
- Self-motivated, flexible, and adaptable.
- Excellent attendance.
- Ability to work as a team member and communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
- Occasional flexibility regarding work hours.
