Farah & Farah, a premier personal injury law firm, is seeking a Litigation Assistant with experience in Personal Injury and Litigation. This is a full-time position in Jacksonville, FL with a salary range of $35,000-$45,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

The Litigation Assistant will provide administrative support for the Attorney and Paralegal, including conducting legal research, preparing documents for hearings, and scheduling client meetings. They will also maintain case files, communicate with clients and outside parties, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications for this position include 2+ years of experience in Personal Injury and Litigation, knowledge of MS Office and legal technology, and familiarity with case management software. The ideal candidate will also have strong organizational and time management skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

organize and maintain case files in paper or electronic filing systems
maintain pleading and discovery indexes
maintains case costs by verifying outstanding balances with attorney, clients, and providers
acting as liaison among all parties for coordination and calendaring of meetings, appointments, mediations, hearings, and deadline dates in outlook
draft legal documents and proofread for accuracy, including demand letters, pleadings, and client correspondence
supports case preparation by preparing case summaries and materials for mediations, organizing materials for team case review
follow-up with providers for missing medical records, billings, liens, and pip logs
keep clients informed by maintaining contact and communicating case progress
facilitate the meeting of deadlines by keeping multiple agendas and provide timely reminders
communicate effectively and appropriately with team members and outside parties
be able to read and comprehend position specific documents and correspondence
ensure compliance to all company policies, procedures, and expectations

qualifications

proven 2+ years working experience in personal injury
proven 2+ years working experience in litigation
knowledge of ms office and ability to work with legal technology & terminology
knowledge of e-filing process, rules of evidence and civil procedures
working knowledge of case management software
familiarity with the rules of federal and state procedures
strong organizational and time management skills
ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
strong sense of confidentiality and ability to exercise sound judgment
demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to successfully communicate with the public, other employees, and vendors
