Cox, Castle, & Nicolson, a leading law firm in San Francisco, is currently seeking a Transactional Legal Secretary to join our Overflow Resources and Secretarial Support team. In this role, you will provide administrative and secretarial support to assigned attorneys and other timekeepers, including drafting legal documents, client billing, and file maintenance. About the Role As a Transactional Legal Secretary, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including drafting legal documents, scheduling meetings, coordinating travel arrangements, and maintaining files. Your attention to detail and knowledge of legal terminology will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy and quality of all documents. You will also have the opportunity to work on special projects and assist with Overflow Resources when needed. Key Responsibilities - Draft, edit, and proofread legal documents and correspondence - Schedule meetings and conferences, coordinate travel arrangements, and maintain attorneys' schedules - Assist with various parts of closings, including closing binders and finalizing documents - Input timekeeping information and prepare expense reports - Coordinate billing procedures, including invoicing - Establish and maintain files and records in accordance with the Records Center filing system - Attend and participate in departmental meetings and training opportunities - Assist with special projects and Overflow Resources as needed Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent, with additional training in word processing and computers preferred - 3+ years of prior legal experience required - Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook; experience with document management systems such as iManage is a plus - Typing speed of 70 wpm with accuracy in grammar, spelling, and punctuation - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Compensation and Benefits - Salary based on experience; targeting between $65,500 and $78,000 annually - Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), and sick and vacation time Cox, Castle, & Nicolson is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
