The successful candidate will have the opportunity to support multiple attorneys and paralegals in our Intellectual Property/Patent Prosecution department. The Role As an IP Legal Administrative Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys and paralegals in all aspects of patent prosecution work. This will include preparing and electronically filing patent applications, amendments, appeals, assignments, and other related documents. You will also be responsible for docket management, client communication, billing, formatting, proofreading, and editing legal documents. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to utilize your advanced computer skills and familiarity with online resources to excel in this role. Requirements To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent writing, grammar, proofreading skills, and have a keen attention to detail. You should also have intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, editing software, and other related legal software. Familiarity with electronic document management systems such as iManage/FileSite and Anaqua is a plus. Strong organizational and time management skills are also essential, as well as the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. We are seeking candidates who have a proven track record as a positive team player and can also work independently. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience supporting multiple attorneys and paralegals is required, as well as specific experience in patent prosecution and transactional work. Familiarity with the . Patent and Trademark Office, including PatentCenter, is also preferred. Overall knowledge and understanding of domestic and foreign procurement process for patents and trademarks is a plus.
