Litigation Paralegal - Chicago, IL - Up to $115,000 salary range - 10+ years of experience in a law firm

Overview:
- Seeking a seasoned litigation paralegal for our brand-new Chicago office
- Assist attorneys with commercial litigation and complex product liability matters

Responsibilities:
- Perform a broad range of substantive paralegal tasks
- Work directly with attorneys on product liability, toxic tort disputes, complex commercial litigation, and other complex business disputes
- Maintain and monitor court deadlines for assigned cases
- Take ownership of case calendars
- Electronically file documents with the Court through the ECF system
- Perform online PACER research
- Prepare drafts of pleadings, notices, and motions
- Must have trial experience

Salary Information:
- Pursuant to the salary transparency provisions of the Illinois Equal Pay Act of 2003, compensation range for this role is $95,000-$115,000

- Strong organizational skills
- Well-developed critical thinking skills
- Attention to detail
- Working knowledge of Excel
- Strong sense of accountability
- Ability to take ownership over projects and responsibilities
- Proactive in resolving issues
- Team player
- Technology savvy
- 2 or 4-year degree and a paralegal certificate preferred, but work experience can be substituted for education
- Ability to conduct research using various tools, including the Internet and Westlaw
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
