Law Firm Seeking Experienced Patent Specialist for Full-Time Position

We are Kilpatrick, a large international law firm with multiple locations in the United States. We are currently seeking a Patent Specialist to join our Intellectual Property Department in either our Winston-Salem, Raleigh, Houston, Dallas, or Denver office. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package.

In this role, you will be an integral part of our team of attorneys, paralegals, and support staff, providing high-level service to both internal and external clients. Your primary responsibilities will include providing support for US patent prosecution and patent matters, with a focus on US and PCT filings, deadline management, and special projects. You will work closely with attorneys, patent specialists, and paralegals, and will be responsible for managing client portfolios, preparing and filing patent applications, and maintaining accurate time records for billing purposes.

To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of two years of experience as a patent prosecution paralegal or in a comparable position, preferably in a law firm or in-house legal environment. You should also have a strong understanding of USPTO and PCT rules and procedures, as well as experience with electronic filing. Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and timekeeping software, is essential.
