Law Firm Seeking Boston Patent Technical Specialist in Intellectual Property

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and prosecute patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
• Analyze scientific or technical documents to assess inventions or issued patents
• Draft detailed descriptions of inventions in legal terms
• Manage patent prosecution docket and meet deadlines
• Perform patent and non-patent literature searches for analyses
• Review patents for IP due diligence
• Participate in interviews with USPTO examiners
• Stay updated on legal developments in the intellectual property field

Qualifications:

• Advanced degree (. preferred) in biological or biomedical sciences
• Prior experience in patent law is a plus, but not required
• Ability to quickly adapt to different areas of biotechnology
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Excellent communication skills and commitment to providing high-quality client service
