The ideal candidate should possess at least 1+ years of law firm experience, have strong technical skills, and excellent communication skills. ## Responsibilities The Paralegal Clerk will be responsible for the following: * Heavy mediation scheduling, telephone conferences, ZOOM meetings, adjournments, response dates * Daily Efiling and Eservice in state court * Maintaining calendars for assigned attorneys * Case management: Importing documents into a document management system * Answering and directing telephone calls * Performing additional duties as instructed and assigned ## Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities The ideal candidate should possess the following: * Knowledge of court filing and scheduling procedures * Keen attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple projects under tight time constraints * Thorough knowledge of general office practices, policies, and business English * Ability to operate computer, printer, copier, fax, and mailroom equipment * Ability to work on multiple projects, prioritize workload, and adjust to changing priorities * Ability to deal effectively with candidates, attorneys, and co-workers * Ability to type at 60 words per minute * Ability to lift and move 10 lbs * Active listening, reading, service orientation, coordination, and social perceptiveness * Knowledge of office skills such as data entry, filing, phone etiquette, and composition of simple business letters * Ability to organize time efficiently among a variety of duties ## Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications: * * Proficient in MS Office applications * State court electronic filing, knowledge of FileSite a plus * 1+ plus years previous law firm experience in Litigation * Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel * Excellent written and verbal skills, business English spelling and grammar * Excellent time management and organization skills ## Physical Activity & Requirements * Employees must talk and hear * Employees must often sit and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel * Employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl * Vision abilities required by this job include close vision * Subject to inside environmental conditions, protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes * Noise level in work environment is usually quiet to moderate * Hours: 9:00 AM-5:30 PM, Monday-Friday ## Salary and Benefits * Salary is commensurate with experience * Medical, Dental, Vision, and Disability Insurance * 401K * Paid Time Off and Holidays Shutts & Bowen is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal Clerk to join our Mass Litigation department.
