					<p class="small">Shutts & Bowen's 2L summer clerkship program is designed to expose students to a representative cross-section of the legal services we provide. The law students we hire through this program are not assigned a specific practice group, rather, we offer summer associates the opportunity to experience as many departments as possible - Litigation, Real Estate, Corporate, Tax and International Law, to name a few.<BR><BR>Summer associates are assigned research, writing, and preliminary drafting of memoranda, pleadings, and briefs. They are encouraged to observe attorneys in depositions, hearings, and trials; and attend client meetings, if appropriate.<BR><BR>The South Florida Association for Law Placement has organized a pro bono work day in Miami, where summer associates, interns, attorneys and placement personnel from around South Florida participate in improving the community.
