- Full-time, non-exempt, hybrid position at a law firm
- Locations: Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington .
- Salary range: - ($113, - $160,)*

H2: Job Description

The Paralegal III at Law Firm is responsible for supporting attorneys, clients, and professionals in various litigation matters. This includes tasks such as case organization, discovery, trial preparation, and trial/arbitration support. The Paralegal III may also have some supervisory duties depending on the project or case matter.

H2: Responsibilities

- Develop case organization protocols
- Partner with case teams and other colleagues to address client needs
- Provide on-site support at trial (including out of state)
- Conduct cite checks on federal and state documents
- Conduct calendaring and docket legal analysis
- Conduct legal research on procedural requirements, court decisions, and other related topics
- Provide motion and deposition support
- Assist with discovery
- Engage in fact development
- Facilitate foreign language document translations
- Provide support on appellate filings and managing final document submissions
- Actively participate in firm-sponsored trainings
- Manage staff teams and their work product during trial
- Implement post-matter closing instructions
- Other duties as assigned

- MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Adobe Acrobat
- Legal support software: Westlaw, Lexis, Relativity, RingCentral, FileSite, iTimekeep, Case Notebook or comparable software applications

H2: Minimum Qualifications

- High School Diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferred
- Paralegal Certification (California Business and Professional Code Sect. 6450 compliant)
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- High-level project management experience leading a support team at trial
- Expert organizational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe tools
- Proficient with legal support software
- Expert written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to take direction and execute assigned work
- Strong reasoning and research skills
- Ability to interpret complex case facts and themes
- Ability to be flexible and agile in work direction
- Expert ability to draft legal documents
- Expert cite-checking skills
- Availability to work extended hours, nights, and weekends as needed
- Good judgment, attention to detail, initiative, team player mentality, and team building ability
- Fluency in a foreign language preferred but not required

H2: Physical Demands

The Paralegal III may be required to perform the following physical tasks:

- Writing, typing, reading, speaking, hearing, seeing
- Sitting, bending, reaching
- Lifting up to 25 lbs
