Salary Information:
• Salary range for the San Francisco, CA position: $80, - $120,
• Base salary wage range will be determined during the interview process and may vary based on factors such as prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors
• Final salary wages may be outside of the range for other reasons and individual circumstances

Responsibilities:
• Perform research, sequence management, and searching
• Investigate inventorship issues
• Manage intake of invention disclosures and review for patentability, novelty, and non-obviousness
• Evaluate prior art for qualification and applicability
• Study and analyze scientific or technical documents to assess patentability, novelty, and inventiveness
• Draft new patent applications
• Convert provisional applications into utility applications
• Convert foreign filed applications into . applications and vice versa
• Prepare replies to . and foreign office actions
• Assist with prosecution and e-File filings
• Assist with interviews of USPTO examiners
• Assist with appeals to PTAB
• Meet with clients to discuss inventions and assess commercial potential
• Prepare clearance analyses

Experience and Education:
• Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in a biological field, such as Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or Cell Biology, with excellent academic credentials
• At least two (2) years of related experience in life sciences
• Strong writing and research abilities, and proficiency in written and verbal communication
• Strong organizational skills
